Description
Way back in the olden days when I first came up with the idea for this piece I decided to create it as a very large screen printed poster.
I’d been in the Linenhall Library where I’d seen one of the original For God and Ulster posters and I wanted to recreate the original down to the paper stock.
Hand screen printing massive posters without the right kit is quite a hard thing to do and really I had no idea what I was doing when I made this. There is a grunginess to these posters that can be chalked up to my early inexperience with large scale screen printing but the accidental grunginess ended up making this poster look more like the original For God and Ulster than I could have done with intention.
I had thought that I had sold all of this edition years ago but in yet another recent studio tidy I came across a small number of them.
At 59 x 84 cm this first version of For Godzilla and Ulster is a pretty large screen print.
It is an edition of 45 and each one is numbered and signed.
Due to its size, this piece will be posted in a tube with royal Mail 1st class tracked.
